Looking Up
Growing Deep
Reaching Out

Pastor’s Corner for the week of March 23

Grace and peace from God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ for such a time as this. Many of you are dealing with a new reality and for me this is becoming challenging as we would like to try to be the church but can’t be together. This week in our study of scripture we will be studying the Thursday of Holy week up to the events of the Passover Supper. God’s purposes were carried out through the depth of Jesus’ suffering as he faced the cross.

This Sunday evening the Classis Zeeland pastors will join to bring you a streamed service at 6 pm. We will be together at the Haven CRC and will be live streamed on their facebook page. We will get the information you need to watch that as well. The rumor right now is that our governor will declare a “shelter in place” order for Michigan sometime today. I do not know what this will mean for our plans to try to conduct a drive-in worship service this Sunday. The council will meet to explore the ramifications of such an order.

Please pray for our country, our leaders, our own church families, and all those whose lives have been altered by the coronavirus outbreak and the rippling effects of it. May we be ready to say our refuge and strength is in the Lord, may his Kingdom come.
