I grew up in Manhattan, Montana on a family run dairy farm. I was baptized, grew up, and made profession of faith in Bozeman CRC in Bozeman, Montana. After graduating from Manhattan Christian School I earned my certificate in diesel technology from Montana State University Billings, College of Technology. I moved back to Manhattan and was employed at an agricultural equipment dealer for five and a half years. In those years God’s presence in my life became increasingly evident and I sensed God was calling me into ministry.
After much prayer and council in seeking to discern God’s call I moved to Grand Rapids, MI to enrolled at Reformed Bible College (RBC), now Kuyper College, and graduated in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science in pre-seminary studies.
I began studies at Calvin Theological Seminary (CTS) in the fall 2006 and graduated in the spring 2010. Shortly after becoming a candidate I received a call to Drenthe CRC and God lead us here. I was ordained as pastor October 10, 2010. My family and I have been blessed are privileged to serve here in Drenthe.
Michelle and I were married in 2003 and we have two daughters and two sons. Ariana Mae is 9, Caleb Jon is 6, Eliot (Eli) Robert is 4, and Katelyn Lee is 2.
